Lisa Perry’s mod, mod world. The Queen of Mod is well known for her 60s design aesthetic. For Fall 2013, Lisa Perry showed minimal clean-lined silhouettes in stark black and white, with graphic color blocking. Optic swirl prints and oversize polka dots on shift or swing dresses. Geometric patterns with Pop art brights of fuchsia and cobalt. Houndstooth separates in boxy shapes in white/black or cobalt/black. The coat with fur hem was a standout. Unusual stripe color combo of cobalt with plum brown was quite striking.
The Fall 2013 collection was shown during NY Fashion Week, right in her store at 988 Madison Ave at 77th St, NYC. The white space provided a perfect backdrop for her minimal 60s influenced fashions. Mod style couldn’t be more perfect right now, with color-blocking and black/white trending. By the way, don’t forget MadMen season 6 starts Apr 7. Find Lisa Perry online at lisaperrystyle.com.
